Matecznik II is a speculative audiovisual narrative that evokes a multispecies dream of co-being — a space where unrecognizable organisms intertwine in a shared dance of matter, blurring the boundaries of the known world. In its new iteration, following the playful and dogma-resisting narrative approach co-created with Zosia Hołubowska, Matecznik shifts toward darker realms of ecological interdependence. Questions arise about more-than-human forms of intelligence and sensitivity, as well as the aesthetics of decay — phenomena pushed to the margins of visibility and significance in dominant realities.

In relation to the Drwal exhibition narrative, Matecznik II becomes not so much a supplement as a rupture — a gesture that dissolves categorical divisions between the human and the non-human, the masculine and the feminine. It is an attempt to view ecosystems as hybrid, constantly transforming entanglements of matter, in which order and chaos, birth and decay, are all part of the same pulsating rhythm.
